Watch God Provide..........
You know sometimes you feel like you are running or in my case hobbling in circles with no end in sight. We have been trying for a couple months to get me an electric scooter to use while traveling and out of the house. With a broken foot and other nasty medical issues, it can get tough. I don't want to be bound to home. I want to be out and about.
So, I need a scooter. God knows my need and He knows there is one out there for me, so with a humble heart I ask that if anyone has one or knows of one that I can borrow or have, it would be so appreciated.
I will keep you all posted, it will be fun to watch God work.
Bucket List............
Have you done this yet?
I have not seen the acclaimed movie but after hearing about it, I thought how fun that would be to do.
While traveling to Washington last March for Dave's brothers wedding, we talked about what we would like to do before we died. I haven't read this list since last March, so I am curious to see what I have accomplised so far.

The Bride of Frankenfoot...........
Well if you have followed my blog, you read about my broken foot back in October.
On October 27th, I broke my heal on my left foot. One fracture, that is all but a fracture none the less. When I saw the Orthopedic doctor, he felt that my physical therapist Jenny decide could decide when my boot could come off. You remember the boot that I humbly name Frankenfoot.
http://fayescrafticorner.blogspot.com/2008/11/frankenfoot.html
Frank and I were together for just over 5 weeks when it was decided that maybe I could part ways with him and settle for the simple yet sublime athletic shoe. All was going well till my foot swelled and the pain resumed.
After a trip to the ER for excruciating pain, the X-ray showed that the fracture had not and was not healing.
Primary doctor was instrumental in putting my relationship with Frankenfoot back together again until I could see the ortho doctor. Frank and I were together for 5 weeks and got back together 2 weeks later. He wanted to spend Christmas with me because Halloween and Thanksgiving were so much fun LOL
Long story short saw the ortho doctor today and.........the foot is still broken, not healing and he says that he needs to get aggressive. So let me introduce you to The Bride of Frankenfoot.
We will be together till February 11th - oh it was a sad day in my world. Began 2008 with back pain and leg problems. Will end it the same way. Guess I need to pray, pray, pray.

What is Christmas All About?
This year is turning out to be difficult to say the least. I began 2008 in pain and unfortunately I am going to end 2008 in pain. The much acclaimed epidural steriod shot was my hope for a pain free end to the year and it seems that the precious shot did not take. As many of you remember, my left leg became the home for what I loving called "Frankenfoot" Frankenfoot hung around through Halloween and Thanksgiving then a week later my precious physical therapist gave me permission to put Frankenfoot away. Well that bugger wanted to be around for Christmas and depending on what the ortho doctor says next Tuesday will determine if he will be here for the new year. Urghhhhhhhhh. The boot was causing problems with my leg and nerves so the epideral shot was scheduled right after my foot was free. Alas, the break is not healing and so the swelling and pain persist :( . Prmary doctor ordered it back on immediately.
So back to Christmas, financially we have hit a bad place and it is mostly my fault. Christmas this year is sparce and the guilt with that is weighing on me. We are trusting God to see us through and I know He is but in His Time not mine.
I love to bake and make gifts and I am weeks behind on that venture. Though we have the front yard decorated (sort of) The wind last night took out our inflatables and Dave is dragging his feet to fix them. He promised that tomorrow he would. We have no tree up, nothing is right. And if I have to hear one more time that Christmas isn't this or that............I will use whatever piece of heavy equipment near me to beat someone over the head.
Pain is a hard thing and when it keeps me from accomplishing things it is hard when my inability to complete a task or two gives license to some to not do anything or at least maintain what is done.
If you know me, you know that I love Christmas and this year I feel like I have so negatively impacted Christmas this year.........Call me Grinch
What is Christmas? That is easy........it is the birth of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My Lord came to earth so that He could die for my sins. The ultimate gift and I so know this. What is hurting is that I am just missing the fun and festiveness of it all. I miss being able to give great gifts at times home made, I did actually get some presents made. Engraving glass is my new fun thing. I have some more stuff to get done and pray that my body holds out. Tomorrow is church (our church does services on Tuesday and Wednesday) To avoid the crowds we will go tomorrow. God will see me through, this I am sure.
I miss the tree, I miss the lights and decorations. I am sad that some actions on my part have caused some financial hardship. I am frustrated that I can't get things done because most time broken foot or whatever else this darn disease throws at me, if I don't do it - it don't get done or started. I am just feeling sad, I am in pain, I want to just have Christmas. My Savior is in my heart but I want Christmas. I want my lights, I want my tree and decorations and I want to bless those around me with treats and homemade treasures. I don't know what the next 48 hours will hold but Christmas is in my heart and I am hoping in my home too somehow.
Here are the mugs that I etched.........
As you can see the baking stuff awaits. Thank God for stools to sit on while I cook and bake.
I know many have lost jobs, many are also struggling financially and life is just hard. Our one hope is truly Jesus and that is all that matters. I want to others to see my joy that only the Lord can bring. It is not unchristianlike to be sad or to have regrets. I won't be negetive just regretful but I am sure an awesome Christmas eve service should take care of that.
Merry Christmas all and God Bless

I Corinthians 13 - Christmas Edition
Christmas Version Of 1 Corinthians 13
1 CORINTHIANS 13 - A CHRISTMAS VERSION
If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling lights and shiny balls, but do not show love, I’m just another decorator.
If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing gourmet meals and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime, but do not show love, I’m just another cook.
If I work at the soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home and give all that I have to charity, but do not show love, it profits me nothing.
If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted snowflakes, attend a myriad of holiday parties and sing in the choir’s cantata but do not focus on Christ, I have missed the point.
Love stops the cooking to hug the child.
Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the husband.
Love is kind, though harried and tired.
Love doesn’t envy another’s home that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens.
Love doesn’t yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way.
Love doesn’t give only to those who are able to give in return but rejoices in giving to those who can’t.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust, but giving the gift of love will endure.

CKU Provo Chronicles #8 - Inspiration Stations and I am such a dork!!
The first official day of CKU was Thursday. We had a series of make and takes called Inspiration Stations. Instead of like in years past where we walked around going from table to table to make a book of our Favorite things, this time we sat in one room all day and the teachers rotated in to our rooms.
This is before the doors opened and we were allowed into our rooms to begin our day.
One of the things that I most looked foward to at both San Jose and Anaheim was the chance to meet Lisa Bearnson. She did not attend either CKU and I was bummed. But this year in Provo, there she was. To my delight she was the instructor for our first make and take. I about fell off my chair. I was so excited to finally be in the same room as she was. (OK here comes the dork LOL)
She gave the instructions for our project and then began to work the room. When she got to our table, I totally gushed and told her how awesome I think she is and how excited I am to meet her and that I loved her work and watching her on QVC. I think I did all of that without taking a breath. I was totally star struck, I just couldn't believe that I was getting to chat with her and I was giddy with excitement. You can ask Tara, she will confirm that I was a dork. Anyhow, Lisa signed my bag and then took a picture with us. So anyhow, it really made my trip and was a definate highlight.
These are 2 of the pages we created that day.
Along with Lisa, we were blessed with classes from Brandon Brazel, Tim Holtz, Lance Anderson, Margie Romney-Aslett, Brittany Beattie and Ali Edwards. Inspirations Stations were a blast. The album we created throughout the day, was perfect for CKU memories.

CKU Provo Chronicles #6 - Dorms
Part of the fun of attending CKU is being in a dorm. A dorm is a group that forms to create a song / story, a table centerpiece, nametags and characters to tell the CKU story. Our group decided to do a parady of Dr. Seuss books. We had a great time, from the Grinch, Thing-a-dile One and Two, Scrap I Am, Horton etc we were an ecclectic combination of Dr. Seuss characters. This is the logo we used for our group T-Shirt that we wore on Thursday the first official day of CKU Provo. Our dorm buddy Karen created these works of art. Thanks Karen for all your hard work.
With Grunge Mountain in the center, our village of CKUVille was created around the mountain. This is our entire group in our fun outfits.
This is our group on stage performing. We were one of 3 dorms asked to perform - yahoo!!! We won 2nd place for performing our little story and song.
A Reading (borrowed from “The Cat in the Hat”)
We sat there, that Wednesday,
We sat there, in fear
And oh how we wished
registration was here.
All anxious and worried
We might not get in
The clock slowly ticking
When could we begin?
Yes, all we could do was to
Sit! Sit! Sit! Sit!
And we did not like it
Not one little bit.
Then something went BLIP!
How that blip made us FLIP!
We looked, then we saw it
Go REGISTER NOW!
We frantically type
Got my album track – WOW!
The homeroom was next
Would we get into B?
The class block is full,
Guess we’ll have to take D.
We give a big sigh,
We’re finally done.
All that’s left now
Is get set for some fun!
Our classes in hand
We head to YAHOO
We post “WE GOT IN!”
“Hey, how about you?”
Now, we’re gathered together
Our passion, so true
With others who “get it”
Where else? C-K-U!
SONG (sung to the tune of "Mr. Grinch")
You're a keen one, Mr. Holtz
You taught scrappers to distress
With a craft sheet on our table
We will never have a mess
Mr. Hooool-tz
You're a favorite with the ladies
That, we confess.
You’re a dilly, Pickle-Guy
Your techniques, they’ll never “Rust”
Lance inspires us with stories
A scrapper we can trust
Pickle-Guuuuuy!
We can’t wait to start on
“A Story of Us”!
You’re outrageous, Thing-a-diles
Margie, you and Debbie ROCK!
Using shimmer on our accents
Or painting on cardstock
Thing-a-Diiiiles
With both of your albums,
We’ll be scrappin’ round the clock!
You're an artist, Ali E
Capture life from day-to-day
You brought freedom to our scrapping
And we'd really like to say
Ali Eeeee-E
The three words that best describe you are,
and I quote: "IT. IS. OKAY!”
This is my name tag. We each made little books with our character and made a little story about us in each book. I was Scrap I Am ~ Would you like green eyelets and brads. LOL
Jennifer and Angie the awesome mother daughter duo were Thing-a-dile One and Thing-a-dile Two. They were a riot.
Our pregnant momma Val played Horton hears a pickle and was thrilled to poke fun at Lance Armstrong from Rusty Pickle. Tara was my CKU buddy and she played the other Green Eyelets and Brads character who only did digital scrapbooking - paying homage to Jessica Sprague
Here we are the Green Eyelets and Brads gang. Thanks Tara for being my CKU partner in crime.
This is my CKUVille store front. Brads Etc.
One final look at our great group. Thanks Emily for pulling us all together. So to Tara, Maria, Emily,Kim, Karen, Jennifer, Tracy, Angie and Val CKU Provo will always be special because of you all. It was great!!!!
With Grunge Mountain in the center, our village of CKUVille was created around the mountain. This is our entire group in our fun outfits.
This is our group on stage performing. We were one of 3 dorms asked to perform - yahoo!!! We won 2nd place for performing our little story and song.
A Reading (borrowed from “The Cat in the Hat”)
We sat there, that Wednesday,
We sat there, in fear
And oh how we wished
registration was here.
All anxious and worried
We might not get in
The clock slowly ticking
When could we begin?
Yes, all we could do was to
Sit! Sit! Sit! Sit!
And we did not like it
Not one little bit.
Then something went BLIP!
How that blip made us FLIP!
We looked, then we saw it
Go REGISTER NOW!
We frantically type
Got my album track – WOW!
The homeroom was next
Would we get into B?
The class block is full,
Guess we’ll have to take D.
We give a big sigh,
We’re finally done.
All that’s left now
Is get set for some fun!
Our classes in hand
We head to YAHOO
We post “WE GOT IN!”
“Hey, how about you?”
Now, we’re gathered together
Our passion, so true
With others who “get it”
Where else? C-K-U!
SONG (sung to the tune of "Mr. Grinch")
You're a keen one, Mr. Holtz
You taught scrappers to distress
With a craft sheet on our table
We will never have a mess

CKU Provo Chronicles #5 - Secret Sisters
What fun it is to have secret sisters. I enjoying spoiling as much as I get spoiled. On the CKUProvo Yahoo Board, I participated in the Secret Sister swap. I gave to Diana Hufnagel. She was so much fun. She loved purple so I loved finding all the purple I could. She was one of my favorite people to meet at CKU. Her mom Linda was wonderful too. Two great ladies - lots of smiles
Liesl Doty gave to me and she was wonderful. I loved chatting with her before CKU and we seemed to have lost touch since comeing home. I need to fix that. Anyhow, she spoiled me rotten.
This was my final package of goodies from Liesl. Disney, Zutter and all other great things that I love and use. THANK YOU SO MUCH LIESL - YOU ROCKED!!!
We did Secret Sisters for our Album Track. I was in a swap square, it was funny when we saw how it was all working out.
Tara Chapman gave to Maria Angel
Maria Angel gave to me
I gave to Emily Irwin (whom I also gave to last year - talk about hard LOL)
Emily gave to Tara Chapman
It was so funny but it all worked out and we all had great secret sisters.
This is the package of goodies that Maria gave me for my final gift. All the things I love and more Zutter wires - yeah Thank you so much Maria you were awesome. Maria also came with her mom Nancy and they are awesome. They were another huge blessing of the trip.
This is the adorable theme book that Emily gave me for being her SS. She is so thoughtful and always has treats for her SS. So Emily, I am sure more See's Bordeaux's will come your way again next year. It is becoming a tradition.
Thanks to all my SS's this round. You all were the best.
